Abstract
Working mothers with dual roles simultaneously face occupational demands and family responsibilities, which may increase the risk of burnout. This study aimed to describe burnout levels among working mothers with dual roles in Bekasi City. A quantitative descriptive design was used. Participants were 97 working mothers selected through non-probability purposive sampling. Data were collected using an Indonesian-adapted Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS) and analyzed with descriptive statistics and categorization using JASP. The empirical mean of total burnout was 73.38 (SD = 34.94). Based on categorization, 22 participants (22.7%) were in the low category, 25 (25.8%) in the moderate category, and 50 (51.5%) in the high category. Although the empirical mean fell within the moderate score range, the frequency distribution showed that more than half of the participants were in the high burnout category. Dimension-level analysis indicated that exhaustion had the highest mean per item (3.62), followed by reduced sense of personal accomplishment (3.54) and depersonalisation (3.28). These findings describe the psychological burden experienced by working mothers who simultaneously manage work and family responsibilities.
