Abstract
This study aims to examine whether meaning in life can function as a predictor of resilience among functionaries of youth-based social organizations in Bekasi City. Organizational functionaries face continuous role demands, structural responsibilities, and workloads without financial compensation, making the sustainability of their involvement highly dependent on internal psychological resources. This study employed a quantitative approach with a predictive correlational design. The sample consisted of 151 functionaries of youth-based social organizations in Bekasi City, selected using purposive sampling technique. Instruments used were the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10) to measure resilience and the Meaning in Life Scale based on Bastaman's framework to measure meaning in life. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression. Results showed that meaning in life significantly predicted resilience (r = 0.435; R² = 0.190; F = 34.87; p < 0.001), with the regression equation Y = 17.12 + 0.299X. Most respondents were in the high category for both meaning in life (62.91%) and resilience (74.84%). These findings indicate that the higher the meaning in life perceived by functionaries, the higher their capacity for resilience, although this variable only contributes 19%, indicating that other factors also play a roleReferences
