Abstract

The research questions addressed in this study are: (1) What is the content of the book Aku Cinta Bahasa Arab? (2) How well does the instructional material in the book Aku Cinta Bahasa Arab align with the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum)? This study aims to analyze the suitability of the instructional material in the book Aku Cinta Bahasa Arab, published by Pustaka Sofwa, based on the Graduate Competency Standards of the Kurikulum Merdeka. Although the book was originally developed in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum, it is currently being used in instruction based on the Kurikulum Merdeka. This study employs library research using a content analysis method. The results indicate that the book Aku Cinta Bahasa Arab incorporates the majority of the learning outcome indicators found in the Kurikulum Merdeka, particularly regarding listening, reading, and speaking skills. The materials are presented communicatively and align with the thematic approach recommended by the curriculum. However, certain indicators have not been fully met, specifically concerning the development of project-based writing skills and the integration of character values into learning activities. Therefore, while the book remains a relevant primary teaching resource, it is recommended that teachers make adjustments and provide supplementary materials to address these shortcomings and ensure that learning objectives are comprehensively achieved.
