Nearly half of the families (47.1%) had a moderate level of knowledge. Based on cross -tabulation analysis, all families (100%) with higher education had good knowledge, most employed families (51.9%) had a moderate level of knowledge, and most families in the elderly age category (52.4%) had a moderate level of knowledge. Family knowledge plays an important role in preventing Diabetes Mellitus complications among olde r adults.
