Abstract
The rapid development of technology makes it easier for teenagers to access various media content, including those containing violent elements. This raises concern because teenagers are still in the stage of psychological development that is vulnerable to environmental influences, including the media they consume. This research aims to find out the influence of violent spectacles on the emergence of criminal behavior in adolescents and the factors that affect the process. The method used is literature study, by reviewing various journals, scientific articles, and related research reports. The results of the study show that exposure to violent content can reduce sensitivity to violence and encourage aggressive behavior through the imitation process. The role of parents, media literacy, and adolescent self-control are important factors in reducing the negative impact. This research is expected to provide a clearer picture and become a consideration in creating a safer media environment for teenagers. Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memudahkan remaja mengakses berbagai konten media, termasuk yang mengandung unsur kekerasan. Hal tersebut menimbulkan kekhawatiran karena remaja masih dalam tahap perkembangan psikologis yang rentan terhadap pengaruh lingkungan, termasuk media yang mereka konsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tontonan kekerasan terhadap munculnya perilaku kriminal pada remaja serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi proses tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, dengan mengkaji berbagai jurnal dan laporan penelitian terkait. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa paparan konten kekerasan dapat menurunkan kepekaan terhadap kekerasan dan mendorong perilaku agresif melalui proses peniruan. Peran orang tua, literasi media, dan kontrol diri remaja menjadi faktor penting dalam mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas dan menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam menciptakan lingkungan media yang lebih aman bagi remaja.
