PENGARUH PELATIHAN DAN KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PT CARE GUARD JASA JABODETABEK

Abstract

Employee performance is a key factor in determining a company's success, particularly in the security services industry, which requires a professional, skilled, and competent workforce. PT Care Guard Jasa Jabodetabek faces challenges in optimizing the implementation of training and competency development to improve employee performance. This study aims to determine the effect of training and competence on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study population consists of 70 employees who participated in training at PT Care Guard Jasa Jabodetabek. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, with the sample size determined using the Slovin formula at a 5% margin of error, resulting in 60 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 26, including validity, reliability, classical assumption, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination tests. The results indicate that training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with t = 6.362 > 2.002 and significance = 0.000 < 0.05. Competence does not have a significant effect, with t = 1.609 < 2.002 and significance = 0.113 > 0.05. Simultaneously, training and competence have a positive and significant effect, with F = 59.697 > 3.156 and significance = 0.000 < 0.05. The R² value of 0.677 indicates that the two variables explain 67.7% of the variation in employee performance.
