PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN ETOS KERJA TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS MELALUI MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA PT. TJIWI KIMIA SIDOARJO

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and work ethic on productivity, with work motivation serving as an intervening variable, at PT. Tjiwi Kimia Sidoarjo. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The study population consists of 200 employees from the Converting Department of PT. Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique. Based on the analysis results, the study concludes the following: 1) Transformational leadership has a significant effect on employee productivity (β = -0.141; T = 1.651; p = 0.009). 2) Work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity (β = 0.985; T = 6.452; p = 0.000). 3) Transformational leadership has a significant effect on work motivation (β = 0.063; T = 1.520; p = 0.029). 4) Work ethic has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (β = 0.906; T = 25.819; p = 0.000). 5) Work motivation has a significant effect on employee productivity (β = -0.068; T = 0.451; p = 0.002). 6) Work motivation significantly mediates the effect of transformational leadership on employee productivity (β = 0.004; T = 0.352; p = 0.025). 7) Work motivation significantly mediates the effect of work ethic on employee productivity (β = 0.061; T = 0.452; p = 0.002).
