Abstract

The right media indicator is shown by the maximum growth or reproduction of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF). Additives for Fermented Drinks and the ratio of the media is 90:10. Factors that affect the average weight of BSF are the type of compost and the composition of additives with a large contribution to the average weight of BSF by 6% and 18%, respectively. So that the composition of raw materials that produces an average weight of BSF with lager specifications is better, namely the type of compost using a mixture of fruit and leaf waste. Then the compost weight is 3000g and for the number of larvae as much as 300. The type of material added is a fermented drink and a mixture of 300g. The waste type factor was a mixture of fruit and leaf residues with the maximum average weight obtained was 191.5 mg/larva, for the additional material composition factor of 300g a mixture of fermented drinks with an average BSF weight of 191.1 mg/larva which was observed for 12 days. on progress. The quality of BSF based on the average weight was influenced by the type of mixed compost, namely the compost of leaf and fruit residues which had an impact on the average weight of BSF of 191.5 mg/larva. For further research, it is recommended for BFS breeders to use a combination of optimal factor levels, while for the level of factors that do not have a dominant effect, it can be chosen with a level that has a higher economic value (saving production costs). In addition, for further research, the Taguchi loss function can be calculated.
