Environmentally friendly ogoh-ogoh is ogoh-ogoh made from environmentally friendly materials, such as using bamboo, wood, parasok (leaf fiber), tree roots and dry leaves. In the past, ogoh-ogoh in the Bualu traditional village was made with simple, environmentally friendly materials. Entering 2007, ogoh-ogoh began to be collaborated using styrofoam. Styrofoam is light and practical, giving it advantages for use in food packaging, goods packaging, and even decoration. As time goes by, styrofoam is also used as a basic material for making ogoh-ogoh. Making ogoh-ogoh will go through a burning process which can cause environmental and even air pollution because styrofoam contains chemicals and is difficult for nature to decompose naturally. The aim of this research is to explain the environmental impact sociologically of the phenomenon of implementing Tri Hita Karana through environmentally friendly ogoh-ogoh as an effort to reduce the use of styrofoam and preserve the environment. This research uses an explanatory descriptive qualitative approach using ecocentrism theory analysis from Arne Naess (1973). The research results show that from 2016 to 2017 Sekaa Teruna Teruni and the architects chose to make environmentally friendly ogoh-ogoh at the same time as the Bali provincial government regulation No. 97 of 2018 concerning restrictions on the generation of single use plastic waste, as well as in conjunction with the environmentally friendly ogoh-ogoh competition held by Badung regency government. Holding this competition has had a positive impact on reducing styrofoam waste, providing benefits for Sekaa Teruna Teruni, increasing solidarity, increasing soft skills, increasing relationships, and increasing artistic experience. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana is reflected in the manufacture of environmentally friendly ogoh-ogoh. The religious activity of making ogoh-ogoh by Sekaa Teruna Teruni in the Bualu traditional village is a reflection of the implementation of human relationship with god (parahyangan). Relationships and solidarity are a reflection of human relationships with humans (pawongan), and the use of environmentally friendly materials as the main ingredients for making ogoh-ogoh is a reflection of human relationships with nature and the environment (palemahan). In fact, making ogoh-ogoh is not completely made from environmentally friendly materials, so it is recommended to use natural dyes and hair from parasok or palm fiber is a must for this phenomenon.References
