Abstract
This study aims to explore the dynamics of communication between married couples with different educational backgrounds. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to deeply understand the subjective experiences of participants. Purposive sampling was used to select couples married for at least one year with differing education levels. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and participant observation, then analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results revealed communication barriers arising from differences in perspectives and ways of understanding information, particularly regarding child-rearing and family financial management. However, educational differences also provided a richness of perspectives that could strengthen the relationship when managed through open and empathetic communication. This study recommends the importance of effective and empathetic communication in overcoming educational differences within marriage to achieve family harmony.References
