ANALISIS STRATEGIS DOMINASI EKSPOR FURNITUR INDONESIA KE SINGAPURA 2025. (2026). Musytari : Jurnal Manajemen, Akuntansi, Dan Ekonomi, 25(8). https://doi.org/10.2238/9e9r8e53
Abstract
The Indonesian furniture industry is one of the pillars of national manufacturing exports that continues to maintain its relevance in the international market, including Singapore as a Southeast Asian trade hub. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the determinants of the dominance of Indonesian furniture exports to Singapore during the 2020–2025 period, with a focus on bilateral trade performance, the composition of superior products, market dynamics and buyer profiles, as well as strategic challenges and opportunities that need to be addressed. The method applied is a qualitative, analytical-descriptive approach combined with secondary data analysis from BPS, UN Comtrade, the ITC Trade Map, and official documents from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade. The theoretical framework used includes the Heckscher-Ohlin comparative advantage model, Porter's Diamond Model, and Gereffi's Global Value Chain theory. The analysis results show that Indonesia consistently ranks among the top three furniture suppliers to Singapore, with an estimated export value of USD 312 million in 2024 and a market share of 21.6 percent. Indonesia's main strengths rest on its monopoly on global rattan raw materials, a mature industrial cluster ecosystem in Jepara and Solo, and product customization capabilities that are highly responsive to market needs. On the other hand, competitive pressures from Vietnam, low levels of sustainability certification, and the fragmented structure of MSMEs represent strategic barriers that require systematic addressing. This study recommends accelerating FSC certification, strengthening the digitalization of the distribution chain, and developing design capabilities through industry-academia collaboration.References
